Samo Kreutz: “The homestead of my youth”

The homestead of my youth (haiku sequence)

homecoming
hugs me even tighter
the scent of a tea

house threshold
patiently waiting to enter
today’s sunshine

bringing summer
into the room–
a bee

late afternoon
having lunch together
me and bird sounds
